The Meadows Cooperative of Fairmont was built in 2005, with members taking occupancy in September 2006. Since then many residents of Fairmont and the surrounding area have found the lifestyle provided was just what they were looking for when they no longer wanted to deal with the household chores such as lawn care, snow removal and minor repairs. The cooperative allows them the benefits of homeownership without the hassles that go with it.
Many of the members have said, “It was the right move! We love the freedom to come and go without worrying about anything while we are gone.” For those who head South during the winter months, they don’t have to think about anything while they are gone. The members feel a sense of family because of the smaller community.
There are many activities such as cards, social hours, potlucks, puzzles and, of course, coffee time. You can be as involved or uninvolved as you choose to be.
The Meadows Cooperative has 36 units, ranging from one bedroom/one bath to two bedrooms/two baths. There are nine different floor plans offering a nice variety of layouts. We have a waitlist, so if you are even thinking about changing your lifestyle to one of “carefree living,” please contact Jodie to set up a tour. Office hours are M – Th, 8 am – 3 pm.
